I fear benig shot in my house because of bullets coming inside my home, I need help?

CLEVELAND — Stray bullets are terrorizing neighbors on the city’s east side. Residents who live there says it’s only a matter of time before an innocent person loses their life.

Joyce Blakey lives on the corner of East 86th Street and Decker in Cleveland. Over the past year, Blakey says her home has been shot at 13 times.

Earlier this week, Blakey was sleeping in her bedroom when a bullet came in through the back wall and whizzed by her head.

"I heard a ‘pow’ and then I felt plaster fall on my head," said Blakey. The 61-year-old is so afraid to sleep in her bedroom that she now sleeps on an air mattress protected by metal filing cabinets. "That’s the second bullet that’s gone by my head," said Blakey.

That same day, 71-year-old Ash Ford was walking her grandson home from school when shots rang out. She says a group of teenagers scattered. Ford says when she ran into neighbors lawn to hide, she fell down and hit her chin. She now has 8 stitches in her chin and a gash on the side of her face.

Neighbors believe gangs are to blame. "I think the kids just don’t have nothing to do. I’d like to know where they’re getting guns at," said Ford.

Residents say the walkway behind Blakey’s home has turned into a hangout for teens. Over the past year, the number of shootings have increased.

"We’re very peaceful people. Most of us are seniors. All the problems come from right here in this walk through," said Ford.

Neighbors say police have collected evidence but so far no arrests have been made. A spokeswoman for the Mayor’s
